We select our staff for their sensitivity and knowledge. They offer a way of life which, while seeming informal, but in fact supports and substantiates both children and adults. Our staff are instructed that the emotional care of the child is as important as the physical care. Our nursery schools are staffed with a high proportion of qualified and experienced staff i.e. NNEB and NVQ trained staff. Early years training for staff is continuous throughout the year.

The majority of our employees hold a recognised qualification in Child Care. There is on-going in-house training linked to the various agencies; the staff undergoing training are assessed at their workplace by qualified assessors. A high percentage of our staff qualify in NVQs each year. Throughout the year we have training days with the early years network. References are taken up by Eveline Day and Nursery Schools with staff and followed up by police checks.
